Osmanthus ancient tree black tea captures the robust essence of Mengku's millennia-old tea forest and the sweet freshness of mid-autumn osmanthus in a single cup. Made from raw materials sourced from百年-old or older Mengku large-leaf ancient trees at 1600–1800 m altitude, the autumn harvest of one bud with two leaves contains 24.7% tea polyphenols, 4.2% amino acids, and a phenol-amino ratio of 5.9, creating a rich, sweet, smooth, and non-astringent base. Around the autumn equinox, fresh golden osmanthus buds are used at a 1:3 ratio and undergo a "three-scenting, one-lifting" low-temperature scenting process for 72 hours, followed by re-drying below 45 °C to achieve a moisture content ≤4.2%. GC-MS testing shows a total of 1.44 mg/g of linalool, γ-decalactone, and osmanthus phenylethyl alcohol, forming a three-layered profile of 'osmanthus fragrance upon entry, ancient tree fruit-honey notes in the middle, and woody freshness in the finish.' With 1.16% theaflavins and 10.5% thearubigins (GB/T 30483), the liquor is bright orange-red with a prominent golden ring; caffeine content is 32 mg/200 ml, providing gentle stimulation; water extractives reach 48%, allowing 8–9 infusions while still retaining lingering osmanthus notes. Double-sealed in aluminum foil bag and tin can, the tea retains its aroma for 18 months under ambient, light-protected storage; SGS tested with zero detection in 500 pesticide residue items, and fully traceable via SC certification. A cup of Osmanthus Ancient Tree Black Tea brings the shadow of osmanthus in Cangshan's late autumn and the honeyed charm of a thousand-year-old tree into the city life—sweet, deeply soothing, with lasting sweetness and aromatic aftertaste.
