'Imperial Concubine' originates from gentle slope tea gardens at 600-800m altitude in Xingzhen Town, Wuyi Mountain. It is selected from a single plant of natural hybrid offspring of Cinnamon tea. Harvested in spring with one bud and one leaf. High soluble sugar content (4.8%) and moderate tea polyphenols (20.6%) endow the tea infusion with a natural lychee fruit aroma and honey sweetness. The volatile aroma contains cis-3-hexenol, linalool, and beta-ionone working in synergy, quantified at 1.29mg/g by GC-MS, leaving a rose aftertaste even when cooled. Light withering and light rolling, followed by controlled fermentation at 28°C for 70 minutes then light firing to sufficient dryness, yielding moisture content ≤4.2%, tea theaflavins at 1.05%, and tea thearubigins at 9.7%, producing a bright orange-red liquor. Caffeine level is 27mg/200ml for gentle stimulation; water extractables at 46%, remaining flavorful through 8-9 infusions. Double sealed with aluminum foil bag and tin canister to ensure aromatic stability for 24 months at room temperature away from light; SGS tested for 500 pesticide residues, none detected. Full traceability under SC certification. For the price of a milk tea, you can enjoy the springtime fruit aroma reminiscent of 'juicy lychee.'
